Our story
Built on Real Experience.
We started this company because we knew how good hardwood flooring work could be — and we wanted to do it that way, every time.
The founder
15+ Years in the Trade
Our founder has been working in hardwood flooring since 2009. That's not a marketing number — it's years of job sites, problem-solving, and learning what separates a good floor from a great one. Before starting Frankly Floored LLC, he spent years as a lead installer and custom fabricator at SVB Wood Floors, where he developed the skills and standards that define how we work today.
Lead installation work means owning the outcome — not just laying boards, but reading subfloors, managing acclimation, solving the problems that come up mid-job, and making sure the finished product is something you're proud to put your name on. Custom fabrication work means learning to do things that most installers won't attempt: intricate patterns, curved work, specialty inlays, and the kind of detail that makes a floor a statement.
That background is the foundation of both Frank Floors and Frankly Floored. Whether the job is a straightforward installation or a one-of-a-kind custom project, the same experience and standards apply.
How we work
Craftsmanship, Honesty, and the Long View
Honest communication
We tell you what the job actually involves, what it will cost, and how long it will take. No surprises, no upsells, no vague estimates.
Real craftsmanship
We care about the work itself — not just getting it done, but getting it right. That means taking the time to do things properly, even when it would be faster not to.
Training the next generation
We're committed to developing skilled craftspeople and future leaders in this trade. Good work requires good people, and good people deserve to grow.
A long-term vision
Our goal is to build a company that's genuinely worth working for — one that eventually transitions to employee ownership. We're building toward that, one project at a time.
The legend
Where Has Frank Been?
Nobody really knows.
Some say he disappeared halfway through a complicated staircase. Others claim he's still at the lumberyard picking out the perfect board.
He's never been seen at a company meeting, but somehow his name is on everything.
The funny thing is, the floors keep getting done.
That's because Frank isn't really one person.
Frank is the craftsman who takes pride in getting every detail right. The apprentice learning the trade. The person answering your call and making sure the job gets done.
Frank is everyone who helps build this company.
And someday, those same people could own it.
So where has Frank been?
He's been here the whole time.
"We're All Frank Here."
